Top Officials of Zhejiang Province Visited Guoxin

　　Mr. Chai Songyue, Governor of Zhejiang Province, delegated a group of top officials from Zhejiang provincial government and Hangzhou municipal government to visit Guoxin on August 20, 2002. The visit was part of their inspection tour in the Technology Park of Zhejiang University. Guoxin CEO Prof. Wang Kuang introduced the HDTV transmission system Guoxin independently developed and showed the guests around the company.
　　Governor Chai delivered a speech afterwards. He pointed out that we should exploit the strong technology power of Zhejiang University and fully integrate the hi-tech products such as Guoxin’s digital TV transmission technique, Hangzhou CNC’s Wideband networking and SOYEA’s HDTV displays to boost the progress of digital TV industry in Zhejiang. Zhejiang is trying to push Hangzhou into the list of experimental digital TV cities and fulfill the commercial broadcasting in Hangzhou in next three years. Chai mentioned that the decision was made when he met with two other governors, two top leaders of Zhejiang University and Hangzhou Mayor. The project will be delegated by Director of Zhejiang Province Development Planning Commission and supported by all the other government departments revolved. Zhejiang Province determined to take an active part in the digital industry and offer its support to the development of Chinese information industry.
　　The officials accompanied Governor Chai included Deputy Governor Mr. Lv Zushan, Deputy Governor Mr. Sheng Changli, Secretary General Mr. Cai Huimin and Deputy Secretary General Mr. Jiang Taiwei of Zhejiang Provincial Government, Director Mr. Sun Yongsen of Zhejiang Province Development Planning Commission, Hangzhou Mayor Mr. Mao Linsheng, Director Mr. Weng Lihua of Finance Department, Director Mr. Mao Guanglie of Science and Technology Department, Drector Mr. Hou Jingfang of Education Department of Zhejiang Province, Party Secretary Mr. Zhang Junsheng and President Mr. Pan Yunhe of Zhejiang University.
