Recently, NationalChip plans to integrate Dolby Digital Plus through the cooperation with Dolby Laboratories.
28 September, 2010, Dolby Laboratories Shanghai announced the plan to expand device authorization project in China.
Dolby Digital Plus is a multi-channel audio coding format based on Dolby Digital technology, which can support 7.1 audio channel transfers with high fidelity audio and better transmission efficiency.
Mr. Sun Haishi, vice president of Dolby Laboratories Asia, said that it is a great honor to cooperate with NationalChip, a top IC design company in China. And Dolby believes the cooperation will bring HD surround-sound experience for much more broadcasting systems.
Mr. Vincent Huang, deputy general manager of NationalChip, said that as the first IC solution integrated with Dolby Digital Plus technology, NationalChip will bring more functions and values for the customers.
Dolby Digital Plus technology has been successfully adopted by top set-top-box IC suppliers and SoC device manufacturers worldwide. It can also be used in HD DVD, Blu-ray player and corresponding disks, new audio-visual receivers, game platform and software.
