On October 28-29, 2020, the 15th “China Chip” IC Industry Promotion Conference was held in Hangzhou. NationalChip’s ultra-low-power AI voice chip GX8002 was awarded the 2020 “China Chip” Emerging Product Award.

Since the establishment in 2001, NationalChip has insisted on investigating and innovating “China Chip” independently for nearly 20 years. Six of its chip products have won the “China Chip” award, and it was awarded “Ten Years Leading Design Enterprise of China Chips”. This is the 7th time that NationalChip receives honors at the most influential and authoritative industry conferences in the domestic integrated circuit field. “China Chip” new and cutting-edge product --  ultra-low-power AI voice chip GX8002 deserves it.

GX8002 is an ultra-low-power AI voice chip with power consumption as low as 70uW. It is currently the industry’s lowest power AI chip. It uses an MCU+NPU architecture and integrates the second-generation self-developed neural network processor gxNPU V200 and self-developed hardware VAD module. Through the powerful capabilities of the NPU, many functions such as voice wake-up, command recognition, AI noise reduction, and voiceprint recognition can be realized.

GX8002 was officially released in July 2020. It is mainly aimed at smart wearable devices such as TWS headsets, empowering them with AI voice wake-up and interaction capabilities, and becoming the next highly competitive interactive portal.

With ultra-low power consumption, ultra-small size, and ultra-high cost-effectiveness, GX8002 makes the entry of AI technology into smart wearables within reach and has cooperated with many industry customers to achieve solutions.
