Satellite DTV SoC chipset of NationalChip was awarded “The 2008 Annual Technical Invention Honor”. This is the second time for that honor after its DTV demodulator IC was also awarded in 2005. NationalChip denoted that, the sales of digital TV chips of NationalChip has exceeded 40Mpcs, and NationalChip has become the local IC design company which has complete digital TV IC product line and large shipment volume. Its cable demodulator IC, satellite demodulator IC and satellite demodulator/decoder SOC IC has totally hold the better market share in China.

On 24th, December, 2008, the ceremony was held in Mei quangong Hotel in Beijing. Mr. Lou Qin Jian, undersecretary of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Mr. Zhu Gaofeng, director of the judge committee, Mr. Liu Lihua, director of Office for MIIT, Mr. Xiao Hua, general director of Electronic Information Department of MIIT, Mr. Zhao Xiaofan, director of Software Service Department of MIIT, and Mr. Han Jun, deputy director of Science and Technology Department of MIIT and other officers attended the conference.

NationalChip is ranked in the eight projects that are awarded for this honor in the information industry. And as the representative, NationalChip made a speech in the celebration conference on the topic of “Promote product innovation based on technology innovation”.
